Normally surveys are expressed in terms of square meter of floor space but the floor plate of Knock Basilica extends to almost 1.3 acres. It was a daunting task to accurately record this structure which includes internal clear heights in excess of 21m.

It was a pleasure to work on a modern church of this size and scale which has since been transformed into an awarding winning place of worship. Our survey brief was subsequently extended to include recording the Apparition Chapel and Parish Church in Our Lady's Shrine, Knock, Co. Mayo.
